How Cuebit is structured

• Prompts are reusable source instructions that live in a workspace.
• Skills are the published, runnable prompt-linked behaviors users actually capture against.
• Notebooks are the physical page-budget container that anchors captures, notebook-bound skills, and sharing.
• Users can belong to workspaces, activate notebooks, and share notebook access without transferring ownership of the underlying skills.

Public and private behavior

Draft prompt content is private by default. A skill only becomes publicly accessible when you publish a public route for it.

Notebook sharing is narrower than workspace membership. Shared collaborators can capture into a notebook and use notebook-bound skills, but they do not automatically become owners of those skills.

How capture works

Capture sessions are notebook-scoped. A capture can resolve its skill from a notebook-bound selection, the More Skills picker, or a Cuebit QR on the first page.

Once a skill is selected or a QR is resolved, Cuebit freezes that prompt context for the run so later prompt edits do not rewrite the in-flight capture.
